(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s e-commerce is forecast to grow more strongly in the 2026-2030 period, thanks to an improved policy framework.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported late last month that the sector continues to post annual growth of 18-25%, with the market size of about 32 billion USD in 2025, making Vietnam one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing e-commerce markets.

According to Vu Hong Khanh, CEO of Saler International Trading JSC - an authorized partner of Alibaba.com in Vietnam - the number of Vietnamese enterprises joining the platform rose by around 7% over the past year, while revenue and transaction value increased by nearly 27%.

This shows that e-commerce is becoming a long-term growth channel for businesses, he said.

“Agriculture, which plays a crucial role in Vietnam’s economy, is expected to expand vigorously during the 2026-2030 period. E-commerce platforms will help the sector achieve more sustainable growth,” Khanh noted.
