(VOVworld) – A workshop on international experience in building Vietnam’s cultural diplomacy strategy toward 2020 with a vision to 2030 opened on Wednesday in Ninh Binh province.

The event was held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Danish embassy in Vietnam. The participants focused on enhancing relations between countries and territories, deepening understanding between countries, promoting Vietnam’s image to the world and lobbying for more internationally recognized Vietnamese Heritage sites. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan said culture has become a firm spiritual foundation of the society and serves as an important inner strength, assuring sustainable development and national defence. Building and comprehensively developing Vietnam’s culture and people, imbued with national, humanitarian and democratic spirit were therefore significant tasks.
