Vietnam's COVID-19 caseload hits more than 14,000 on Monday

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health confirmed  14,219 new COVID-19 infections in 41 localities across Vietnam on Monday, bringing the country's total count to 449,489.

Binh Duong province recorded the highest number of cases (6,050), followed by Ho Chi Minh City (5,889), and Long An province (524). Hanoi reported 110 new cases.

The death toll rose to 11,064 after 315 fatalities were added on Monday, accounting for around 2.5% of all infections.

228,816 patients have fully recovered. 

7 localities including Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, and Yen Bai have gone through 14 days with no new cases.  

More than 19.7 million doses of vaccines have been administered nationwide.
