Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Vo Tuan Nhan praised the collaboration between Vietnamese and Dutch universities to raise the quality of education and human resources on sustainable water resources management.

Funded by the Dutch government, the project will run until 2021, focusing on tertiary and higher education on climate change adaptation and water resources management, practical skill training, internships, career orientation, and building personnel capacity. It will increase the quantity and quality of students majoring in the water resources sector and ensure their future employment.
