(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the UNDP have declared Vietnam’s Climate Change Strategy. The Strategy pinpointed 4 targets: ensuring food, energy and water security; protecting natural resources in the face of climate change, green growth, and working closely with the international community to cope with climate change. Vietnam plans to complete a monitoring system for climate change and rising sea level by 2015 and targets 45% forest coverage by 2020. Vietnam considers coping with climate change a survival issue for its sustainable development.
