(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s 2015 Spring Newspaper Festival in Laos opened on Friday in Vientiane. Lao Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdara, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung attended the opening ceremony.

The event features thousands of publications published on Vietnam’s lunar new year festival as well as radio and television programs to introduce Vietnam’s achievements in all areas. Pham Van Hung, Vice President of the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane, said: “The festival gives us updates about Vietnam. We are glad that such a festival has been held here this year.”

All publications on display will be donated to the Vietnam Culture Center in Laos.
