(VOVworld)-A Vietnamese water puppet show at Claude Levi-Strauss Theatre in Paris has attracted a lot of French spectators. The performance, directed by French director Dominique Pitoiset, has helped French audiences better understand Vietnam’s water puppetry and other cultural values. The show is a fascinating mix of Vietnamese folk music, water puppet performance and lighting effect. On the occasion, a seminar on Vietnamese water puppetry was held. Director Dominique Pitoiset introduced the origin of this unique art, puppet making and handling techniques and details of Vietnamese water puppetry art.
