The two organizations jointly implemented the “Clean water for the disadvantaged community of Dak Nong” in March and April whose beneficiaries are residents of Dak Dro, Nam N'Dri, Dak Nang, Duc Xuyen, Quang Phu communes in Krong No district.

Dak Nong province has experienced more than 70 consecutive days without rain, which have made life and farming extremely difficult.

AFV Chairman Ta Viet Anh said the project aims to help local people overcome the consequences of El Niño.

“The water tanks will help us store water during the rainy season for use in the dry season,” said Bui Thi Hue, a Krong No resident.

The project’s beneficiaries were also trained on the management of drinking water as well as on gender equality, notably the role of women in the family and community.
