At a meeting with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio in Hanoi on Sunday, Mr. Hue said the Vietnamese National Assembly will continue to strengthen links between the two economies and fine-tune institutions to create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign investors including Japanese ones, who are Vietnam’s important trade and investment partner.

Prime Minister Kishida Fumio said in the post-pandemic economic recovery process, it’s crucial to strengthen major projects including ODA projects. The Japanese Prime Minister expressed his wish that the Vietnamese National Assembly will work closely with Japan in this regard and proposed the two countries strengthen cooperation to remove obstacles in the project implementation.

The two leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern and agreed to continue to cooperate at international parliamentary forums including IPU, AIPA, and APPF to contribute to peace and security in the Asia Pacific region and to cope with non-traditional security challenges.
