In the message, Mr. Trong wrote: “The friendship and solidarity between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the French Communist Party have been nurtured and fostered by generations of leaders of the two Parties. Such relationship is evidence for international solidarity between communists.”

“The Communist Party of Vietnam and Vietnamese people always remember and appreciate practical material and spiritual support that French people and communists have given Vietnam during past national liberation struggles and current national construction and defense thus contributing to enhancing ties between Vietnam and France,” the message stated.
