Vietnamese students honored for winning awards at Informatics and Russian language Olympiads

(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Education and Training has honored 6 Vietnamese students who won silver medals at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad. 

(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Education and Training has honored 6 Vietnamese students who won silver medals at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad. At the online competition, held in Kazakhstan in May, Vietnam ranked 7th out of 29 participating countries.

Meanwhile, 5 Vietnamese students were presented with certificates of merit and awarded for their great achievements at the recent Russian language Olympiad in Moscow on June 11th. All 5 Vietnamese students won prizes at the event, including 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals. Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien spoke at the honoring ceremony on Tuesday in Hanoi: “Vietnamese students have taken part in various knowledge playgrounds including the Olympiads and enjoyed great achievements. In the near future, the Ministry of Education and Training will focus on raising the general educational level and further encourage the development of talented students”.
