Vietnamese athletes set 13 Sea Games records, some in Olympic events like athletics and swimming. Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh spoke at Tuesday’s meeting: "Although we achieved significant results at the recent Sea Games, it’s important for us to acknowledge the fact that our achievements are far behind those of Asia and the rest of the world. I call for greater effort by coaches and athletes to improve their training and compete fairly to achieve better results at the upcoming Sea Games, ASIAD, and Olympic events."
