Vietnamese goods sold in traditional markets and convenience stores account for 60% or more. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, 76% of Vietnamese consumers have preferred domestic products, especially high quality brands.
Le Viet Nga, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Domestic Market Department said the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” has changed the perception of suppliers and consumers.
Local products have gained the trust of customers due to their clear origins, branding, and quality similar to foreign products, she said.
