During a meeting on Monday with Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament’s House of Representatives Setya Novanto, President Sang praised the position of Indonesia in the region and the world and called on Indonesia to continue upholding its position for the mutual interest of the ASEAN community, peace, and development in the region. He affirmed that Vietnam is ready, along with Indonesia, to boost negotiations on fixing maritime boundaries and seek a common voice that promotes the interests of each country. The president expressed his hope that the two legislative bodies and two peoples will foster bilateral cooperation towards the planned ASEAN Community.
