(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the National Solidarity Day activities on Sunday in Dien Bien ward, Da Binh district, Hanoi, the city for peace.

He said such activities are meaningful in educating national and family traditions and preserving national culture for Dien Bien  ward, where many key Party and State agencies are based. PM Phuc expressed his hope that local people will continue to stay united to contribute to national development. He asked political organizations to work harder to consolidate family bonds and neighborliness.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Sunday praised villagers in Tra Vinh province for their contributions to the past struggles for national liberation and today’s national construction. Chairwoman Ngan attended a ceremony to celebrate the National Solidarity Day in Soc Cha B hamlet, Thanh Son commune, Tra Vinh province. She said: “On behalf of the Party and State, I acknowledge and commend leaders and people of Soc Cha hamlet. I also appreciate the Tra Vinh Party Committee, administration, and Fatherland Front for taking care of people’s lives and promote their solidarity, capitalizing on people’s creativity and ethnic identities, particularly in areas inhabited by the Khmer people."

The Soc Cha hamlet has paid attention to “Paying debts of gratitude” activities to improve the living standards of policy beneficiaries.

During the ceremony, NA Chairwoman Ngan announced a donation of 25 houses for poor households and presented 100 gifts to poor students.
