In his address, Mr. Tran Thanh Man, a member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said: “In 2016, Vietnamese people, especially those in the central region were seriously affected by floods. The Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic donated more than 2 billion VND to the flood victims to help them build houses and stabilize their lives and production. The help is of great significant”.

There are more than 65,000 Vietnamese people living, working, and studying the Czech Republic. In 2013, the Vietnamese community was recognized as the 14th ethnic group of the Czech Republic.
