Vietnamese Party chief welcomes Malaysian PM
(VOVWORLD) - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam hosted a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who is in Vietnam to attend the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) 2025.

During their discussions, the two leaders agreed to strengthen exchanges and high-level engagements, enhance the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and explore new mechanisms aligned with the evolving partnership between the two countries.
They emphasized the need to fully leverage cooperation potential in key areas such as defense-security, trade-investment, labor, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
Discussing regional and global issues of mutual concern, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering cooperation and mutual support within regional and international organizations, particularly ASEAN and the United Nations.
