The same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also cabled a congratulatory message to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday celebrated the 70th anniversary of her reign in the United Kingdom. She is the world's longest-reigning monarch.
In a message to the people of the kingdom on Saturday evening, opening the Platinum Jubilee ceremony at Sandringham House, East of England, Queen Elizabeth II thanked everyone. The Queen reiterated her commitment to dedicate her life to serving her country. She expressed her "sincere wishes" that Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, will become Queen Consort when the Prince ascends the throne.
Queen Elizabeth II inherited the throne on February 6, 1952, after the death of her father King George. At the age of 95, she still takes on the official responsibilities of the British Royal Family, but has rarely appeared in public since being hospitalized in October 2021.
