“Vietnamese Labor Day in Japan” motivates workers

(VOVWORLD) -The first "Vietnamese Labor Day in Japan” on Sunday in Tokyo encouraged the community of more than 430,000 Vietnamese workers living and working in Japan.

The event co-organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs drew more than 300 guests representing Japanese agencies, unions, businesses employing Vietnamese workers and representatives of Vietnamese workers’ community in Japan.

Phan Tien Hoang, Head of the Vietnamese Labor Management Board in Japan, said, “The event aims to motivate Vietnamese workers working in Japan and ask Japanese unions and companies to create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese workers. We want to promote the reception of Vietnamese workers and the formation of a community of Vietnamese workers in Japan who are united, creative, loving and supportive of each other."

Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu and Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan presented certificates of merit to 30 Vietnamese workers and 12 management unions and 17 companies of Japan for their outstanding achievements and positive contributions to bilateral labor cooperation.
