This is the third time the Board has been invited by the organizers to participate in the celebration, demonstrating local authorities’ recognition of the Vietnamese community’s contributions to the host country’s economic and cultural life.
Visitors were treated to cultural and artistic performances characterized by national identities in addition to a booth showcasing Vietnam’s culture and cuisine. Traditional folk games with prizes and cultural quizzes about Vietnam were organized, helping international workers and friends gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam and its people.
In addition, 1,000 gift packages were prepared to present to workers from various countries, including Vietnam, who attended the event.
Minister for Manpower Dr Tan See Leng visited the Vietnamese community liaison board booth, expressing his admiration and gratitude for the contributions of the Vietnamese community to the International Migrants Day celebration and to the multicultural economic and cultural life of Singapore.
