(VOVworld) – The cultural space of gongs in the Central Highlands of Vietnam was introduced at the 2014 Paris Tropical Carnival, which took place in Paris’ Leon Blum square on Saturday.

Vietnamese gongs showcased in Paris

The annual event is part of activities to foster the cultural diversity of living communities in Paris, said Paris’ new mayor, Anne Hidalgo. She hailed the overseas Vietnamese’s significant contributions to Paris and France.Themed “Cinematography”, this year’s event attracted 44 art troupes from around the world. The performances of Vietnamese gongs were a hit, contributing to promoting Vietnam’s art, culture and people to the world.
