(VOV) - A lacquer painting exhibition is ongoing in Venice as part of the “Vietnamese Days in Venice” programme to celebrate 40 years of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties. The event, which opened on Tuesday, is jointly hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The showcase included artworks by famous Vietnamese painters who shed light on contemporary viewpoints of life, through which audiences gain a better understanding of Vietnamese people and landscape. Also on Tuesday, more than 60 musicians from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) joined a concert under the auspices of Italian President Giorgio Napolitano. The VNSO will continue their tour of Florence on July 11 to enthrall local audiences and give a special performance at the Italian Presidential Palace on July 12 at the invitation of President Napolitano.
