On display are typical features of Vietnamese Buddhist architecture, including landscape space, ground layout, and main functions, architecture of each sect and region, and recent architecture of urban pagodas, restored pagodas and newly built pagodas. The exhibition is open until May 15.  

A Vietnamese Buddhist architecture conference was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Institute of Religious Studies, the Institute of Monuments Conservation, and the National Museum of History in Hanoi on Saturday.

Since its introduction into Vietnam some 2,000 years ago, Buddhism has been reconciled with indigenous beliefs and has constituted the traditional culture of Vietnam. With its long history of development, Buddhism has left behind a massive architectural heritage of pagodas and towers, enriching the Vietnamese heritage treasure.
