Talking online with the Ambassador, Governor-General Payette expressed her affection to Vietnam, recalling her meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the occasion of the Prime Minister's official visit to Canada and attending the G7 Conference in 2018.

The Governor-General said she hopes that Ambassador Phong will contribute to promoting the friendly and cooperative relationship between Canada and Vietnam.
