(VOVworld) – A Vietnam-Cuba cultural festival took place in HCM city on Sunday as part of a series of activities to foster friendship between the two countries in 2015. The event included an exhibition featuring the bond between Vietnam and Cuba over the last 55 years and beauty of the people and landscape of Cuba. President of the HCM city Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Truong Thi Hien said: “We hope that this activity will help young people in HCM city learn more about Cuba and the relations between Vietnam and Cuba and their revolutions.”

There were also a contest on Cuba and the friendship between the two countries, performances of Vietnamese and Cuban songs, and culinary displays of Cuban dishes during the event.
