(VOVworld)- The second Vietnam-China People’s Friendship festival wrapped up in Liuzhou city, the Chinese province of Guangxi on Monday.  Addressing the event, Secretary of Liuzhou city’s Chinese Communist Party Chen Gang expressed his belief that after the festival, the two countries’ people will continue strengthening cooperation and exchanges, contributing to the Vietnam-China friendship. Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that bilateral ties have been expanded and intensified in all fields of politics, economics, culture, education, security and defence. The two chairmen agreed that the cooperation and exchanges between friendship organisations have helped strengthen mutual understanding and the friendship between two peoples. They signed a declaration of the 2012 Vietnam-China People’s Friendship festival, pledging to make positive contributions to the development of the two countries’ relations, for peace, friendship, cooperation and development of the two peoples. The declaration says the two peoples will inherit the tradition, reinforcing exchanges, mutual understanding and trust and boosting cooperation in all fields.
