This is the first time the Vietnamese team has secured four gold medals at an IChO held in person. The 57th IchO, which concluded on Monday in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, drew 354 contestants from 90 countries and territories.
Vietnam tied China and the US in total number of gold medals. Between 2020 and 2025, all 24 Vietnamese students who participated won medals – 21 gold and three silver in total.
