Vietnam wins 4 gold at Asian Physics Olympiad (Vietnamnet) |
Eight Vietnamese students brought home 4 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Associate Professor Hoàng Minh Sơn, principal of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and chief organizer hailed the contestants for their creativity and skills: "The contestants did theoretical and practical tests very well so we decided to raise the number of gold medals. Vietnam ranks third after China with 8 gold medals and Russia with 5. This is a great achievement of the Vietnamese team."
Vietnam hosted APhO for the second time from May 6 to 12. Australia with host the next event.
