Mr. Son said as the coordinator of ASEAN-UK relations in the 2024-2027 term, Vietnam will actively promote practical cooperation programs between the two sides.
David Cameron said the UK attaches great importance to strengthening the strategic partnership with Vietnam and that the UK will continue to support Vietnam in sustainable economic development. He suggested both countries continue to cooperate on migration, immigration management, and combat of illegal migration.
The two Ministers agreed to increase delegations exchanges, effectively deploy current cooperation mechanisms, and strengthen coordination and mutual support at regional and multilateral organizations and forums.
Regarding the East Sea issue, the two sides affirmed their support for maintaining peace, stability, freedom of navigation and aviation, and resolving disputes in the East Sea by peaceful means in line with international law.
