Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ha said that Vietnam has taken many steps per its commitments to JETP, including establishing a steering committee, approving the Political Declaration on JETP, establishing a secretariat board, and various working groups, and building plans to mobilize resources.

The Government has also approved the National Power Development Plan VIII for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, said Mr. Ha. He added that the plan encourages the development of renewable energy. He said that there is room for cooperation between leading UK, EU companies, and Vietnam on specific projects.
