(VOVworld)- The Vietnamese National Assembly, Government and people attach importance to and wish to further deepen the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Poland, considering it one of priorities in Vietnam’s external policy on Central-Eastern Europe. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung made the remarks at a meeting with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski on Friday within the framework of his official visit to the Central European country. Hung expressed his hope that the two countries will boost bilateral cooperation more effectively in politics, economics, national defense, security culture, and education and training. Komorowski described Hung’s visit as helping further consolidate and usher in a new opportunity in the two countries’ relationship.

The same day, Hung met Chairman of the Senate of Poland Bogdan Borusewicz. At the meeting, Hung suggested the two sides increase delegation exchanges, bring into play the role of Friendship Parliamentary Groups of Vietnam and Poland, and share experience in legislation. Borusewicz said he supported Vietnam’s expanding relations with the EU and agreed to boost cooperation with the Vietnamese National Assembly in order to further the bilateral ties between the two countries.  At the end of his visit to Poland, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung held a meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy and overseas Vietnamese in Poland.
