Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan told the ministerial meeting within the framework of the 4th global conference on Sustainable Food Systems in Hanoi yesterday that with the support of UN agencies, the international community, and donors, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has proposed the Prime Minister to establish a "Food Innovation Center", develop the program “1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice”, implement the “Emission payment agreement in the North Central region”, and pilot the calculation of “carbon footprint” for the production chain of rice, coffee, dragon fruit, and shrimp.

Minister Le Minh Hoan said: “Vietnam's agriculture is facing huge challenges, including climate change, market fluctuations, and consumption trends. In order to successfully transform the food system, it is necessary to have the support of donors, international partners, research agencies, businesses, and the entire people.”
