Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung chairs a meeting on the selection of three strategic technology products for immediate rollout in 2025, Hanoi, September 9, 2025.

The decision was discussed at a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, products chosen must address urgent needs, demonstrate high feasibility and quick success potential, generate broad impacts, and directly serve socio-economic development.

The selection criteria also emphasize strong enterprise participation, commercialization prospects, and the ability to address major national challenges such as boosting labor productivity, ensuring security and defense, and enhancing competitiveness. 

“These three product groups were selected for their clear feasibility and commercialization potential. Blockchain technology was also highlighted, while 11 other strategic technologies remain under development on a 3-5 year timeline,” said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy.

Deputy Prime Minister Dung affirmed that strategic technology products must not only meet immediate needs but also lay the foundation for long-term development, carrying the hallmark “Made by Vietnam.”
