President Quang said he hopes Japanese businesses will increase their investment in Vietnam, particularly in priority areas in Vietnam’s industrialization strategy, infrastructure development, support industries, technology transfer, and personnel training.

He said Vietnam will continue to finalize its legal system to create a favorable, stable business environment for foreign investors, including those from Japan. Both countries are implementing phase 6 of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative towards improving Vietnam’s investment environment in 2016. Mr. Sato said his corporation considers Vietnam the center of its activities in the region and wants to expand its investment in Vietnam. He said he hopes Vietnamese agencies will continue to help their investment in Vietnam, contributing to deepening the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
