At a reception for a group of Canadian businessmen who are in Vietnam to seek investment opportunities, Mr. Hue said Vietnam plans to attract foreign venture capital funds to assist start-up activities in Vietnam. The Deputy Prime Minister said Vietnam-Canada trade turnover and foreign direct investment have not matched the potential of the two countries even though Canada is one of the 15 largest investors in Vietnam. Mr. Hue said both countries need to take steps to increase the bilateral trade turnover and Canada’s direct investment in Vietnam.
