(VOVworld) – The Prime Minister has ordered greater investment in mechanical engineering to make it a spearhead industry.

In a just-issued directive, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was ordered to work with relevant agencies to design a resolution on developing an auxiliary industry to provide parts for automobile manufacturing, ship building, transportation, machine production, and the mechanization of agriculture, forestry, fishery, and processing. A development strategy and plan for mechanical engineering in Vietnam until 2025 with a vision to 2035 will be created in coordination with Vietnam’s ongoing international integration. The strategy will select key mechanical engineering products to be focused on between 2014 and 2020.
