(VOVworld) – Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan leads a Vietnamese delegation to attend the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) from today until next Monday in Brazil. The objectives of the conference are to secure renewed political commitment for sustainable development and assess the progress to date, The remaining gaps in the implementation of the outcomes of the major summits on sustainable development and emerging challenges will also be addressed. The Conference on Sustainable Development will focus on two themes: a green economy in the context of poverty eradication and the institutional framework.
