Vietnam, Thailand to cooperate against money laundering

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and the Thailand Office of Anti-Money Laundering signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Monday to boost cooperation in anti-money laundering. Dang Thanh Binh, Deputy Governor of SBV, said: international exchanges of information about anti-money laundering are crucial. Vietnam has been trying to promote such cooperation, especially with other members of ASEAN. SBV praised Thailand’s anti- money laundering activities and urged closer relations between the two countries in this field. The signed MOU will create favorable conditions for both sides in the process of information collection and analysis.
