Vietnam, Thailand eye closer connectivity under new partnership

He said the upgrade of bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is a historic milestone, meeting the two countries’s development demand in the new period.

The Vietnamese Party leader emphasized priorities for advancing Vietnam-Thailand relations, including strengthening economic connectivity; expanding collaboration in the green economy, digital economy, and innovation; encouraging investment and business activities; and enhancing coordination in regional and Mekong subregional multilateral mechanisms.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn said that she will instruct relevant Thai agencies to work closely with their Vietnamese counterparts to effectively implement the major cooperation directions agreed upon by both sides.
