At a conference to foster connections between the logistics sectors of Vietnam and Thailand jointly held in Bangkok on Tuesday by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association and the Federation of Thai Industries, Mr. Hung emphasized that this forum is an effective platform for enhancing cooperation in the logistics sector between Vietnam and Thailand.
Mr. Hung said: “The Vietnamese government recognizes logistics as an important service industry. According to an action plan approved by the Prime Minister, the Vietnamese logistics sector aims to achieve six major goals by 2025, including increasing its contribution to GDP to 5%-6%. Thailand is a country with considerable experience in developing logistics services in the region. Therefore, there is a significant potential for collaboration in the logistics sector between the two countries’ businesses, with infrastructure such as warehouses, factories, and ports available for modern technology, machinery, and equipment applications.”
Vietnamese and Thai businesses sought new cooperation opportunities during the conference.
