Mr. Kamal Malhotra told the media on the occasion of 40 years of Vietnam’s UN membership that the country has actively engaged in multilateral relations, ratified many UN conventions, and contributed significantly to the world’s largest organization. He noted that the UN supports Vietnam’s bid for a non-permanent seat at the Security Council in the 2020-2021 term but suggested that the country continue to prove to the international community that it is a responsible UN member by sharing experiences in cooperation and participating more in global peacekeeping missions.
