The special envoy announced the Vietnamese government’s aid worth 50,000 USD to the Bangladeshi government and another 50,000 USD to the UN World Food Program. Prime Minister Hasina thanked the Vietnamese government for the contribution which she said is of great spiritual significance. She asked for early holding of the 3rd Joint Committee on Bilateral Cooperation and the 2nd political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries in Vietnam this year.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister’s special envoy and Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung visited Bangladesh on Tuesday and Wednesday.
