(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam strongly condemns violent attacks against civilians, humanitarian workers, journalists, and essential infrastructure in the Middle-East.

It urged all parties to cease fire and facilitate peace talks and humanitarian activities. Speaking at a regular press conference in Hanoi on Thursday, spokesperson for the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, Pham Thu Hang said: “In the spirit of the Resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly at the emergency session held on October 27, we call on all parties to immediately cease fire, comply with international law and international humanitarian law, to protect civilians and civil infrastructure, establish humanitarian corridors and immediately release all hostages."

She added: "Vietnam welcomes and supports the international community’s efforts to promote restraint, dialogue, and settlement of disagreements through peaceful measures on the basis of international law and relevant UN resolutions to achieve a just, satisfactory and long-lasting solution to the Middle East peace process.”
