Vietnam, South India strengthen cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s low-cost airline Vietjet Air will open a direct flight route from India's Kochi city to Ho Chi Minh city with frequency of 4 flights a week, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai announced during his working visit to India’s southern state of Kerela last Tuesday.

He said that the launch as a breakthrough will further strengthen the cooperation between Kerela and Vietnam.

As part of his 3-day working session, Mr. Hai paid a courtesy visit to Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and worked with the state’s Secretaries of Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism, Electronics and Information Technology.

Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed the new and important development in air connectivity between the two countries, adding that he hopes to strengthen cooperation with localities of Vietnam, especially in exchange of delegations and cooperation in agriculture, fisheries, tourism, IT, start-ups, and education.
