(VOVworld) - A fireworks team from the central city of Da Nang has been representing Vietnam at a week-long international fireworks competition in Vancouver, Canada since last Saturday. The Vietnamese team opened the competition with a 25-minute display saluting the land and people of Vietnam and Canada, similarities between Da Nang and Vancouver, and development cooperation between the two countries. The competition, the largest annual event in Vancouver and the largest coastal contest in the world, attracts 400,000 spectators each night. This Vancouver event is the first international competition the Da Nang has participated in.
