(VOVworld)-Vietnam always considers Mongolia an important partner and looks forward to closer ties, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsend Munkh Orgil.

Mr. Phuc asked Mongolia to support Vietnam and ASEAN’s stance on maintaining peace, stability, and maritime and overflight security and safety in the East Sea, respecting diplomatic and legal processes, and solving disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Minister Orgil praised Vietnam’s hosting of APEC Year 2017 and said he believes the event will be a success. He stressed Mongolia is ready to cooperate with Vietnam in garment and textile and leather shoe production.
