Vietnam secures second place on the medal tally

(VOVworld) - Vietnam secured second place on the third day of the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA Games) on Monday, with five more gold medals in artistic gymnastics and wushu.

(VOVworld) - Vietnam secured second place on the third day of the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA Games) on Monday, with five more gold medals in artistic gymnastics and wushu.

By the end of day three, the Vietnamese delegation ranked second on the medal tally with 26 gold, 12 silver and 30 bronze medals.

The athletics team today participates in various categories, including Nguyen Thi Oanh in the women’s 100m and Nguyen Van Lai in the men’s 5,000m who will secure his achievement of the previous Sea games in Myanmar.

Vietnamese swimmer Anh Vien participated in the qualification round of the women’s 200m freestyle, women’s 100m backstroke and women’s 200m butterfly.

Gymnasts continued with five categories of free fitness, pommel horse, still ring for men and parallel bars, balance beam for women.

The remaining categories which Vietnam participate are diving, tennis, basket ball, canoeing, bowling, petanque, golf and shooting.
