The 2-1 victory against Malaysia in the World Cup qualifier in June helped the national men’s football team move up two places to 90th in the world.
The ranking dropped to the 92nd place after it was defeated by UAE who are ranked 70th in FIFA on June 15.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand ranked second, the Philippines ranked third, followed by Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
The top 3 in Asia were Japan, Iran, and Australia.
Belgium managed to retain their top spot in the world despite being eliminated in the quarter-finals of the European Championship. Brazil and France occupied the second and third places.
