Vietnam reports three more COVID-19 cases

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported three more COVID-19 cases Wednesday morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The new cases are individuals who returned from Japan on Monday. They were sent to quarantine in Hai Phong city immediately upon their arrival at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh.

The same day, Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Truong Son announced Vietnam’s 17th COVID-19 death - a 55-year-old man in Da Nang who died of pneumonia caused by the coronavirus, type-1 diabetes, end-stage renal failure, septic shock, and multiple organ failure.

So far, 866 people in Vietnam have tested positive for the virus, of whom 399 have fully recovered.
