Vietnam records lowest number of COVID deaths in 10 months

(VOVWORLD) - From 4pm on Tuesday to 4pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 8,004 new cases of COVID-19, in 58 out of 63 provinces and cities. Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam has reported a total of 10,631,516 cases.

In the past 24 hours, an additional 46,907 recoveries were announced, raising the total number of recoveries to 9,163,132. During the day, Vietnam recorded 5 more deaths, a record low in nearly 10 months.

By Wednesday, Vietnam administered more than 213.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines. All adult population have got two doses of vaccines and  55.8% of them got the third dose. 100% and 96.4% of children from 12 to 17 years old have got  first and second doses of vaccines, respectively. Currently, 54 out of 63 provinces and cities have administered 879,989 doses of vaccines to children from 5 to under 12 years old.
